Wolverhampton Civic Centre’s multi-level parking lot was suffering from corrosion of the reinforcing steel. Years of exposure to a harsh environment deteriorated the concrete and left the owners facing numerous problems and repairs. It was essential to come up with a quick solution for the huge 135,000 ft2 facility.
The ZEBRATM anode conductive paint cathodic protection system was chosen as the best solution for Wolverhampton Civic Centre (WCC). The British Parking Awards bestowed their prestigious “Best Car Park Refurbishment” award to WCC upon completion of the project. The judges based their ranking on “innovative engineering and repair solutions applied to specific conditions found within parking garages.”
