Dockside Condominium is located on the waterfront in the beautiful historic district of Charleston, SC. The condominium wanted to ensure longevity of the concrete repairs being made, and chose to invest in a compehensive corrosion protection solution for the parking garage/plaza deck and pool areas. The structure contained a mix of both conventionally reinforced concrete as well as post-tensioned members, making technology selection an important factor.
NoCo provided cathodic protection materials to protect various concrete elements, based on a design from the engineer:
- PatchGuard Connect HiFlow galvanic anodes for post-tensioned joists in the parking garage
- Cassette Impressed Current Cathodic Protection system for the joists in the pool area
- Camur III Operation & Monitoring system for Cassette
- LifePanel Galvanic Mesh anode for protection of slab
- AMP-UP RB used to coat all exposed reinforcing during repairs
The installation was successfully completed in December 2023 and all CP systems installed are functioning as intended.
